Editing Subscriptions

This article explains how to manage your subscription settings and provides an overview of each option. Each account is limited to only one subscription.

  1. Click your Account Name in the upper right corner.
  2. In the dropdown, select Subscriptions.
    Navigate to Subscriptions Page
  3. Click the Subscription Name to edit the subscription.

  4. Update the fields on the Modify subscription form.

    Subscription NameThe name for your TrueDialog subscription must be under 25 characters and contain no spaces. This name is internal to the TrueDialog system and will not be visible to your contacts.
    Program NameThe subscription name to display to contacts when communicating. It must not exceed 25 characters (can contain spaces).
    TypeThe Opt-In type to use when adding new contacts to the subscription. See the following table for an explanation of the two Opt-In types.
    Message FrequencyThe maximum monthly mass text messages the subscription will send subscribers. This number is sent to new subscribers in the program message.
  1. Select the Opt-In Type from the dropdown. See the table below for an explanation of the two Opt-In types.

    Double Opt-InWhen your subscription is set to Double Opt-In, new contacts will receive a request message asking them to opt-in before they can receive messages from a campaign. The contact must reply with OK to accept the opt-in request. Once the contact accepts the opt-in request, they will receive a program message confirming their subscription. The image below shows an example of a Double Opt-In message thread.
    Single Opt-InA Single Opt-In subscription doesn’t send an Opt-In request or require end-user acceptance. New contacts are automatically Opted In.

    End users that send a keyword from their phone are automatically Opted In regardless of Opt-In type.

  1. Click Update.
    Click Update
  2. After updating the subscription, a success message will appear in the upper right corner.
