TrueDialog Integration
This article will teach you how to use a Workflow to set the SMS Opted-out property for multiple contacts. The example in this guide shows you how to set the SMS Opted-out property to No if no value was set for the contact. This is useful if you have contacts created before installing the TrueDialog integration.
Create Blank Workflow
- From the left sidebar, expand Automations and click Workflows.
- Click Create workflow, and in the dropdown, click From scratch.
- Select Contact-based workflow.
- Choose Blank workflow.
- Click Next.
- A blank workflow will be created.
Set Trigger
- Click Set up triggers for the Contact enrollment trigger.
- Click When filter criteria is met.
- Click Contact properties under the Object information section.
- Enter SMS opted in the search box.
- Click SMS Opted-out.
- Click the dropdown under the SMS Opted-out criteria.
- Click is unknown in the dropdown.
- Verify the trigger is for SMS Opted-out is unknown.
- Click Save.
Set Action
- Click the Plus icon below the Contact enrollment trigger.
- Enter set property in the search box on the Choose an action sidebar.
- Click Set property value under the CRM section.
- Click Choose a property.
- Enter SMS opted in the search box in the Choose a property dropdown.
- Click SMS Opted-out.
- Click the SMS Opted-out dropdown and select No.
- Click Save.
Review and Turn On Workflow
- Review the workflow and verify that the following conditions are set:
- Trigger if SMS Opted-out is unknown.
- Set SMS Opted-out to No.
- Click the Pencil icon to set the name of the workflow.
- Click Review and publish.
- Choose Yes to apply this workflow to all of your contacts.
- Click Skip to turn on. The rest of the review steps are unnecessary for this workflow and can be skipped.
- Click Turn on workflow.
- The workflow will now show that it is ON.
