The TrueDialog app adds the Formatted Phone Number and SMS Opt Out fields to the standard objects when installed. By default, these fields are not shown on your record details page. This article shows you how to add these fields to your page layout so you can view and edit them.

This example uses the Sales app to show you how to add the Formatted Phone Number and SMS Opt Out fields to the Contacts object. However, the following instructions can be applied to other object types.

Adding the Formatted Phone Number field to the layout is optional because it is automatically populated with the Mobile field (or Phone field if Mobile is empty). This documentation includes the Formatted Phone Number field in the page layout to show how this field works.

Add Fields

  1. Select the Contacts tab.
  2. Click the Settings Gear icon to open the settings menu.
  3. Click Edit Object.
    Click Edit Object
  4. Click Page Layouts.
    Click Page Layouts
  5. Click the Page Layout you want to edit. This example is editing Sales.
    Click Sales
  6. Scroll to the Formatted Phone Number field and the Contact Information section.
    Find Formatted Phone Number
  7. Drag the Formatted Phone Number field to the location in the Contact Information section you want.
    Drag Formatted Phone Number
  8. Scroll to the SMS Opt Out field.
  9. Drag the SMS Opt Out field to the location in the Contact Information section you want.
    Drag SMS Opt Out
  10. Click Save.
    Click Save
