Salesforce – Authenticating TrueDialog App For Users

TrueDialog Integration

Before using TrueDialog to send SMS messages, you must authenticate and connect your Salesforce user with your TrueDialog account. The instructions in this article will show you how to authenticate with TrueDialog.

TrueDialog Updates
Whenever an updated version of the TrueDialog integration is installed, all users must repeat the Authentication Process by following the instructions below.

Authenticate

  1. Click the App Launcher.
  2. Enter TrueDialog in the search box.
  3. Click the TrueDialog app.

  4. Click the SMS User Authentication tab.
  5. Click Go to Authentication.

  6. Salesforce will ask you to allow access to your account for the Connected_App_For_TD_CERTIFICATE. The list of permissions given is necessary for the TrueDialog app to work.
  7. Click Allow.

  8. Enter your Username and Password for your TrueDialog user.
  9. Click Log In.

  10. After linking your Salesforce and TrueDialog accounts, the TrueDialog SMS Connector page will display your connected account.
  11. Verify that the Channel is the correct number from which you want this account to send messages.

    If your account has multiple channels, only one will be displayed here. See the Salesforce – Using TrueDialog Settings Utility article for information about switching channels.

  12. Go back to the SMS User Authentication tab.
  13. Reload the page to update the Account Id and Channel fields.

Enalble Notifications

  1. Check the Notifications checkbox to enable standard notifications from the TrueDialog app.
  2. New notifications will be displayed in the Salesforce notifications window.

  3. This setting is user-specific and will not affect the notification another user sees.

    Any user that wants to receive TrueDialog notifications will need to enable them from their account.

Import Templates

The Import/refresh TrueDialog templates button allows you to import your templates from the TrueDialog Portal. For more details about this process, see the Salesforce – Creating a Message Template article.
