Salesforce – Enabling Mobile Phone Form Factor

System Administrator Permissions Required

The System Admin should perform these steps to enable the Mobile Phone form factor for your entire Org.

This guide shows how to enable a page’s Mobile Phone form factor. This allows the page to be displayed in the Salesforce Android or iPhone apps. The instructions below utilize the Sales app and Contact object, but the process can also be applied to other apps and standard object types.

  1. Select the Contacts tab.
  2. Click one of your contacts.
    Click a Contact
  3. Click the Settings Gear icon to open the settings menu.
  4. Click Edit Page.
    Click Edit Page
  5. Click the Form Factor dropdown.
  6. Select Phone.
    Select Phone
  7. Click Activation…
    Click Activation
  8. Check that the org default is set to only desktop.

    If the org default is set to desktop and phone, then the Mobile Phone form factor is already enabled.

  9. Click Add Another Form Factor.
    Click Add Another Form Factor
  10. Select Phone.
  11. Click Next.
    Select Phone
  12. Click Save.
    Click Save
  13. Click Save on the Lightning App Builder page.
    Click Save
