Sending Messages
TrueDialog uses campaigns as a means to deliver mass messages to end-users. A campaign can be as simple as an SMS message or as complex as a survey with multiple questions and responses. Once you create a campaign, you can send it to a list of contacts immediately, in the future, or even schedule it for recurring delivery. The TrueDialog Portal provides various types of campaigns that you can create. Creating Campaigns
Campaign Type | Description |
---|---|
One Way SMS | This campaign sends an SMS message of any length. |
One Way MMS | This campaign sends an MMS message of any length with an attached image. |
Coupon | This campaign sends a coupon to the end user. The campaign can be configured as an SMS or an MMS. |
Survey Overview | This campaign sends an SMS message that prompts the end-user to answer and then responds to their answer. The survey is customizable and can include three types of questions: Yes/No, Multiple Choice, and Open Response. Additionally, the survey can be configured with as many Question/Answer/Response sets as required. |
Two Way | This campaign enables sending SMS messages of any length and can send a pre-determined reply if it receives a response. If you send a two-way campaign with Short Codes, it can accept replies from users, whereas one-way campaigns over Short Codes cannot accept replies. |
This campaign sends an email message. | |
Text and Email | This campaign sends both an SMS and an Email message. |
Voice | This campaign sends a voice message by using a text-to-voice program to read the message. |
Pushing Campaigns
After creating a campaign, the next step is to send it to a list of contacts, which is called pushing the campaign. Three timing options for pushing the campaign are Immediate, Scheduled, and Recurring. Due to differences in the process, separate articles are available on immediately pushing email and voice campaigns. The table below breaks down each option and links to the corresponding articles for more details.

Immediate | This push will send the campaign message to the contacts immediately. |
Scheduled | This push will send the campaign message to the contacts at a set time and date. |
Recurring | This push will send the campaign message to the contacts at a set interval. The interval can be daily, weekly, or monthly. |

Text and Email | This push will send Text and Email campaign messages to the contacts immediately. |
Voice | This push will send a Voice campaign message to the contacts immediately. |
Managing Campaigns and Keywords

A Keyword is used by the TrueDialog system to trigger an event whenever the defined keyword is received from an end user. The system allows you to define and attach any keyword to your campaigns. See the following articles for more details about using keywords.

Link Tracking
TrueDialog provides Link Tracking for your campaigns, generating a shortened URL that enables click tracking. This feature offers insights into the number of clicks each URL in a campaign receives, along with various advanced functionalities.
