TrueDialog Integration

The Conversations tab provides one-to-one messaging with your contacts. This guide will show you how to start a conversation with your contacts by sending an SMS message using your TrueDialog phone number.

Due to the limitations of shortcodes, two-way messaging only works with long codes.

  1. Click the Conversations tab.
    Select Conversations Tab
  2. Click the Magnifying Glass icon to open the search choices.
  3. Click TrueDialog Contacts.
    Click TrueDialog Contacts
  4. Enter the name of the contact in the search box.
  5. Click the contact.
    Search For Contact
  6. Enter your message in the Message textbox.
    Enter Message
  7. Click Select a channel.
  8. Select one of your long codes to use for messaging.

Shortcodes, Voice, and other non-phone channels can not be used. If you have multiple long-code numbers, the LongCode option will select one of them to use.

    Select Channel
  9. Click the Paper airplane icon to send your message.
    Click Send Button
  10. Your message will be displayed in the message thread.

If you send a message to a contact but don’t receive a reply and then leave the conversation, your message will not be visible when you return. However, your message was successfully sent, so it is important not to resend it. Once you receive a reply from the contact, your original message will appear in the conversation thread, along with any future messages.

    Sent Message
  11. Any messages you receive will be displayed in the message thread as well.
